It's been on my mind...

With my good sewing machine tied up with quilting the BTG quilt and the other machine up at the camp, I haven't worked much on the 501 Project lately.  But the old machine is back home now and there's no excuse not to get back at it.  I was actually feeling a little guilty about not working on it more faithfully.  There for awhile I set aside one day a week to work on it, much like I do hexies and zentangles.  But that kinda fell by the wayside.  Anyway, here's the latest block.

Maple Star

I couldn't wait to try out the batiks.  There isn't quite that amount of contrast in real life but I'm still happy with the block.  I want to do 9-12 blocks in this color scheme.

I also finished two more Sunbonnet Sue blocks.  I didn't realize until I was ready to take a photo that I hadn't sewn the feet but they're done now.

Hope you have a good day.

Hi Pat! I stumbled across your blog from the link up up at Cat Patches. It amazes me how many fun blogs there are out there, and I've not even skimmed the surface! Yours is a very fun blog -- your interests are quite diverse (which is nice) and I've enjoyed browsing back through your posts. The zentangle caught my eye. That's a technique I've just recently been introduced to and in fact our guild is having a workshop on it next month. Anyway, all this long comment just to say, nice to meet you! I'm figured I'd follow up and go along for the ride! :)
