Zentangle Challenge #51 - Fife

This week's challenge from Iamthediva was to use the new tangle Fife by Molly Hollibaugh.  The instructions can be found in the Zentangle Newsletter.  As I was practicing the tangle, I thought that one rendition looked like poinsettias.  I thought they'd look good in a basket but I'm not very good at some of the basket weave type tangles.  I decided instead to use Hollibaugh, which interestingly enough, is also by Molly Hollibaugh.  And...I know how to draw that one.  I don't know the name of the other tangle.

As an aside, if you ever want to try drawing tangles, there are a number to be found at TanglePatterns.com.  At one point, I got it in my head that I'd draw every tangle found on this website.  Needless to say, I got over that real quick.  I have enough challenges.

When I first discovered Zentangle,  I visited the official Zentangle site at Zentangle.com for more information and supplies.  Because I seldom use the official 3x3 inch tiles for my tangles, it's really more like Zentangle-inspired art (ZIA).  Drawing on the tiles makes me nervous so most of the time I use a little sketchbook.

Here's my entry:

Hope you have a good day.

Perfect pairing of these two patterns together. The other pattern is, I believe, 'Betweed'

Those tangles make a very nice combination. I know what you mean about trying all the tangles on tanglepatterns.com. Quite an impossibility. But it certainly is nice to have them all there to look up.

That's so funny because drawing on the tiles makes me nervous, too! And I tried to do all the patterns on tanglepatterns.com while I was waiting for my zentangle box to arrive. I got pretty far, but I'd like to finish that someday :)
