No Resolutions

I don't make New Year's Resolutions because I never follow through.  What can I say?  But I read about an idea I like better.  I wish I'd bookmarked the post so that I could credit the blogger but I didn't.  I wasn't sure at the time if I'd use the idea.  The blogger chooses one word to focus on for the coming year.  I thought I might try that this year.  So my word for 2012 is:

Last year was a year for sewing mostly for myself and while I'm happy with what I have, it's a lot more gratifying to give to others.  So to start off with I chose two people to sew for.  One project is done and the other is in the planning stage.  But over the next 12 months, I'd like to show my appreciation to my followers by choosing 12 to receive a gift from me.  And today, thanks to Random Generator, I selected all 12.  But you don't know who you are.  And you won't.....until it's your turn.  Aren't I mean?  When the next name comes up, I'll send an email asking your favorite colors, interests, whatever you can tell me so that I can sew just the right gift for you.

But to all of my followers, a big Thank You for sticking with me.  I'm always amazed that anyone would find what I do or say interesting.  You're the best!

I'm really looking forward to this year.  I hope you are too.

Hope you have a good day.

Hi Pat! I think there are a lot of "one WOrd' bloggers. Last year, Kelly of Charming Chatter started "Word Up", but I think she actually saw the idea someplace else first. My word this year is contentment. I absolutely love your word, and your idea!!!Good luck with it.

Great way to start the year. Very creative way to celebrate the year.

I enjoy seeing what you are up to, though keeping up some weeks is hard due to other calls of duty.

What a wonderful thing. I read this before, but somehow I didn't understand what you were doing. Must be a reading comprehension thing.
