February FMQ Challenge

The Free Motion Quilt Challenge is hosted by SewCalGal.  The challenge for February is feather plumes.  Diane Gaudynski is our teacher for this tutorial and offers some very instructive photos and advice.  I've felt kinda bad because I hadn't gotten to practicing this until yesterday but I'm pleased with the results.  The first photo shows all my practice.  You have to look really closely to see the individual feathers because I tucked as many as I could into the practice space.  You can click the photo to enlarge.

These second two photos show my finished pieces to link up for this month.

Now I just need a real project that needs feathers.  I may have to dream something up.

To see other entries in this month's challenge, visit SewCalGal.  I'm sure you'll be impressed with the entries.

Hope you have a good day.

Wow! That is some gorgeous quilting! Maybe you should bind the practice piece as a small wholecloth quilt.
