Foto Finish - Through the Window

This week's optional theme is 'Through the Window'.  I was looking through old photos and found this one of my son in 1981 on one of my first quilts - 'The Horse Quilt'.  My son still has it.  The embroidery is missing in places but for the most part, the quilt is still in pretty good shape.  I used My Memories Suite software to make the photo look like a window.

As an aside....do you ever compare yourself, your work, your projects or your challenges to others?  I do.  After I started the 501 Project, I heard of the 'Dear Jane' quilt.  I think I read it's something like 225 blocks (I think they're 6 inches) totalling something like 5400 pieces.  Today, out of curiosity, I counted the number of pieces I've done on my 501 Project thus far - 251 blocks - 6958 pieces.  My blocks however are mostly done at about 12 inches.  I guess this is a pretty good challenge.

Hope you have a good day.

I like your interpretation of this week's optional theme. It's good that he still has it, missing embroidery and all.

What a cute little guy! Brings back memories of when my 2 were little. Neat quilt too!
