A few weeks ago, I started a pair of socks for myself.  It's been years since I've knitted socks but I've seen so many bloggers knitting them that I wanted to give it a whirl again.  The book I used is called 'Socks', a Spin-Off special publication for knitters and spinners, printed in 1994.  I used to use my own yarn to knit them.  This time around I just used Red Heart yarn and don't slap me, I didn't check the gauge.  They came out a little big and make my shoes pretty snug but they make excellent slippers.  For this next pair- purple - I'm making them a little smaller.

I read somewhere that you can spray Krylon No-Skid (I think that's what it's called) on the bottom to make them more of a no-skid slipper sock.  I may try that with some ratty old socks before trying it on these.

Hope you have a good day.

Congrats on finishing a pair of adorable socks. I am a knitter too but never attempted socks, mostly sweaters. My fingers have been itching to pick up my needles but for now it my fingers will be working on Red Work. :)
