The one on the far right was the first. It's an extra small size. It was a little snug going over Bailey's head and around his body. The next one in from the right was my first attempt at size small. I made the mistake of mixing yarns of different thicknesses and you can see how shrunken the bottom part looks. It fit a bit better than the first one but I still wasn't happy with it. The next one was with all the same yarn but I may have gotten carried away with the length of the belly band. The sweater slides nicely over Bailey's head and fits well as a sweater. On the next one I got a little more creative with the pattern. I widened the sides just below the belly band so that it would fall lower on the sides of his body and I lengthened it so that it would cover his entire back to the base of his tail. It fits more like a coat. I crocheted a row of single crochet around the edges so they won't curl. I'll probably have Bailey wear this one in winter so he won't get too cold. But for now he's wearing the red, white and blue one.

The sweater is over the polka dot cloth harness I bought for him. It was a size small but was a little snug slipping it over his head so I cut the neck and added a piece of fabric. It fits perfect now. I like the harness so much, I may use it as a pattern to make others.
Before Bailey came home, I bought two 24 inch gates to be used to block off the livingroom and kitchen from the rest of the apartment. I like the 24 inch because I can step over it without a problem. But Bailey can jump so high that I'm afraid he'll catch his front paws on the edge and either hurt himself or climb over. So I used both of the gates for the one side of the kitchen and am using a 30 inch exercise pen as a gate to block off between the livingroom and kitchen. It looks a little silly for such a little guy but you can never be too careful.
Hope you had a good day.
