Keeping Busy

I can finally show you the wall hanging I created for my daughter.  Her request was for blues and a snowman.  Some of the snowflakes I crocheted last winter were incorporated in the design.

Corey's Wall Hanging

I haven't been doing much sewing lately.  Since I got Bailey, I've had to sew in the livingroom, cut in the bedroom and iron in the hallway.  There are a couple gates to climb over to go from room to room.  But all that will change soon.  I put my name on the list for a two bedroom apartment just before Christmas.  I wanted either a first or second floor and the apartment had to have sunshine.  That severely limited the qualifying apartments because most of the two bedrooms face the woods without sun.  Only 5 apartments fit the criteria.  But guess what......one became available and on top of that, it's the only apartment in the complex that has a washer and dryer.  Woo Hoo!  I move in the weekend of Feb 16.  I'll be glad when it's over.  I hate packing and moving.  I wish I could just close my eyes and be there.

In the mean time, I've finished two more pairs of socks.

I've been busily putting together a large kit for doing hexies.  I'll be away babysitting grandchildren for about 10 days and will need something to keep my hands busy.

Bailey went for his first haircut yesterday.  I had intended to keep him in fairly full coat because I love the fluffy look of it but it takes time to brush him everyday and it's not practical for taking a walk each day.  He really needs the exercise to burn off some of his energy.  Here's the before and after:

Bailey before

Bailey after

Bailey after

It'll take me a few days to get used to it but I think I'll like it in the long run.

I probably won't be blogging much over the next few weeks what with babysitting and moving but I'll catch up with you after.

Hope you have a good day.

Oooh, congrats on the new apartment. I dread the moving part for you too. Is it in the same complex? Sometimes that is even harder than moving across town because you have to carry farther.

I like Bailey's new do. Not too much off, just enough to be cute.

It's my first visit here in a long long time. I am so happy to see you reached your goal of 501 blocks! We have so much catching up to do. I am back in blogland, stop by when you have a minute to spare.

He is still just adorable! And congrats on the new apt. I always hate/love the packing/moving process..but it is a good way to re-organize...which I always need!

Bailey is very handsome!! Sorry you have to go through the moving process to get a better apartment, but it will be worth it in the long run. Enjoy your time with the grandies!

Bailey looks good both ways, he's a such a cutie.

Congrats on getting the new apartment! It's a pain to move, but hopefully you'll be able to do more fun stuff, more often.

Congrats on your new bigger apt! I know how much there is to pack as I moved 1300 miles from ILL to MT last May to be closer to my sisters. What breed is Bailey? He looks like my Lhasa Apsos before and after haircuts. Very cute.
