What do you think?

I recently posted about a couple of quilts I'm donating to our church auction.  When I give away a quilt, I'm always at a loss about what to do about a label or if I should even add one.  Quite awhile ago, I created some care labels to put on the quilts but haven't used them very often.  These photos show both sides of the label.

When I make a quilt as a gift for a specific person, I make a dedicated label for that quilt.  Is it vain to add these care labels with my name and website printed on one side to quilts I give away.   I don't make quilts for hire so it isn't for advertising.  Am I too proud ?  This is always something I struggle with.  Maybe I should make new care labels.  Any thoughts?

Hope you have a good day.

Hi Pat, so glad to see you back and it looks like you have been very busy. I love you new labels; I think they are perfect. It's always nice to have the care instructions and I see no problem with having your name on it for future reference. Fifty years down the road, everyone will know who made the beautiful quilt.

I love the labels, and I'd say leave them on the way they are.

I love the labels ... how nice to know that years and years from now, people will know who's hard work produced such a beautiful quilt. What I want to know is where you got those labels ... I've not labeled mine in the past and definitely intend to start labeling from here on out.

Love those labels. Funny, I am working on quilting a quilt for a young lady whose home burned and using most of the last of the quilt squares you donated last year. These are perfect labels for an auction!

That's a great label for a donated quilt. I always think it's just like signing art work (not that my quilts are works of art, but I was the author)

I like the labels and it will let people know years from now where the quilt came from. Where did you get them?
