Fabric

My order from Connecting Threads arrived today and I've spent most of the afternoon washing, drying and ironing. The photo shows the fabric but not all of it has been ironed yet. I forgot how much work it is to prep fabric for use. It doesn't help that I'm basically starting from scratch on a new stash. The colors and patterns of the fabric are just exactly as I hoped.

I picked up a few storage bins and a new ironing board cover yesterday at Walmart. I never gave the pattern of the ironing board cover a thought until I put it on the ironing board. Stripes! What was I thinking? It makes me cross-eyed.

Fortunately I have a pressing board I use for pressing my quilt pieces so I don't notice it so much but I'll have to keep pattern in mind next time I buy a new cover.

I finished another two Double X #4 blocks and I can see some nice secondary patterns coming together. Very cool!

Hope you had a good day.

That's a lot of pretty fabric! It should certainly inspire you to start something new. I think the stripes might make me a little dizzy, too.

I always love getting a package from Connecting Threads. I quit buying anything striped, it made me nauseous when I had to iron it!
