Lily's Blanket

On September 7, my youngest grandchild, Lily will be starting first grade. Our dilemma has been that she doesn't go anywhere without her well-worn, well-loved blanket. Actually she has three exactly the same and she's numbered them. She's had them since she was about six months old. It's our understanding that she won't be allowed to bring her blanket to school. So Lily gave me blanket #3 to cut up and make into something small enough to fit in her backpack. Here's what I came up with.

The top right is cut and bound with the original binding. The bottom one is a little smaller and bound with a kid print. The remainder has not only the original binding but also a baby print. I think one of the smaller ones will work out the best. Time will tell.

Hope you had a good day.
